About Me

Hi, I’m Chrissy Miller, founder of Wandering Neuron Coaching. My path has never been straightforward, and that’s exactly what shaped me into the coach I am today. Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, Autism, and dyslexia, I often felt like my mind worked differently. Curious, fast, and full of ideas. I wasn’t a high-grade student, but I was endlessly fascinated by how things work. That curiosity led me into science, where I eventually earned a PhD in Quantitative Genetics and built a career studying evolution and teaching university students.

I loved exploring big questions about life and growth, but over time, academia’s constant pressure to publish, perform, and please everyone left me feeling disconnected from what mattered most. Through coaching, I rediscovered my sense of purpose and realised I could help others do the same. It gave me the courage to design a life aligned with my values of freedom, curiosity, and compassion.

That’s how Wandering Neuron was born- from the blend of science, creativity, and self-discovery. As a neurodivergent coach, I understand what it’s like to have a brain that never stops buzzing with ideas. My coaching helps creative women turn that energy into direction- to move from burnout to balance, confusion to clarity, and self-doubt to confident, values-driven action.

Beyond coaching, I find my own clarity in nature. I often hike and travel solo, using time outdoors to reconnect with myself. No expectations, no noise, just space to breathe and think. The name Wandering Neuron reflects that essence: A curious mind in motion, grounded in the natural world. As my practice grows, I hope to bring that same sense of calm and clarity to others through future nature-based retreats and clarity hikes.
